All Pakistan Power and Energy Symposium 2016 (APPES’16)
One of the biggest event on power sector in Pakistan in the history of IEEE PES was held on 14th to 16th of Oct, 2016 at University of Engineering and Technology (UET) Lahore.

Inaugural ceremony of a 3-day event named as “IEEE All Pakistan Power and Energy Syposium’16” arranged by Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers ( IEEE )UET Chapter was held at Seminar Hall of University of Engineering and Technology Lahore. It will be concluded on 16th October 2016. Managing Director National Transmission & Despatch Company (NTDC) Limited Dr. Fiaz Ahmad Chaudhry was the chief guest of this session. He said at the moment that engineering is challenging field having a lot of opportunities to excel. Pakistan is facing energy crisis to coup up this issue many projects have been launched which is opportunity for youth to participate and learn the techniques.

Mr. Nisar Ahmad (CEO-SSL & Secretary Projects-REAP) represented Renewable and Alternative Energy Association of Pakistan (REAP). He briefed the audience about REAP, its objectives, reasons of crisis and proposed solutions including use of alternate renewable energy, awareness campaigns and mini micro grids, Net-metering etc.
