MEPCO AND REAP SIGNED AN MOU TO INSTALL SOLAR SYSTEM WITH NET-METERING

– On January 27th, 2017 an MOU has been signed by CE (P&E) MEPCO Mr. Engr. Masood Salahuddin and Sec. Projects REAP Mr. Nisar A Latif (CEO Solar Sigma Ltd.) to install first ever fully functional Net metering enabled Solar Energy System in Multan at MEPCO Head Office. Mr. Rasheed Ramay (Chairman –Advisory Council REAP) and Mr.M. Masood Coordinator Multan REAP have signed the documents as witnesses. Representatives from various local as well as national solar companies were present at the ceremony. The main objectives of this project are demonstration of technology, training of MEPCO staff and promotion of net metering ceoncept. Mr. Nisar Latif emphasized to raise awareness among masses to switch to net metering enabled Solar Systems. Solar Sigma Ltd. & REAP are committed to promote Net Metering all over Pakistan and for this reason various awareness sessions and training workshops were also conducted in near past in Islamabad & Lahore. Next Net Metering awareness seminar and training workshop for MEPCO staff is planned to be conducted in Multan in near future.
